After
Squeaky's untimely demise we began searcing the internet for older dogs at rescue
operations.
Our fostering of Squee taught us that older canines can be aclimated very well
into a new houshold and that they
can learn commands and concepts easily. Our search led us to ForgottenK9s in
Georgia and Remington.
If the paperwork can be believed he's half Newfoundland/half Great Pyrenees
and he does exhibit plenty of attributes
that we recognize from both of those great breeeds. He's just now one year old
and seriously small for either breed
at only the size of a border collie but we think a bit of judicious nutrition
and exercise will give him a bit more of that bulk.
One thing's for sure, he's seriously fast, agile and smart, smart, smart.
The first moments are just a blur as he never stopped...

The running about
seems to have calmed him just a bit...
And almost a month later he seems quite content.

Two
months later with exercise (fetch and tug, yeehaw) and a proper diet you
can already see a big difference in his frame and coat.
Now we have to work on his exuberant charging the cats and us...
